Requirements

• Workmanship – good finish

• Deburred

• Washed – There should be no loose chips or cutting fluid on the part

• Lower half of part should not have any mismatch and be fully clean up

• Upper and lower thicknesses need to be correct

• Number widths must be consistent

• Boss and Pocket well centered on outside perimeter

• Nice fit to neighboring blocks – fits but is not too sloppy. Boss must mate with the neighboring groups pocket.

• Pocket must receive the neighboring groups boss.

• Pocket size must be equal to or bigger than the boss size

• Pocket depth must be deep enough so the bottom face of your block ends up flush with the face of the block you mate with

Results

My team’s block fit was completed within the project specifications and tolerance. We were able to interlock with one team’s boss. However, the other team was unable to match with our boss since they did not debur their pocket.
